About My Family

I moved a lot as a kid. My father was in the military, and my mum is British, so I have spent time living in the U.S. and England. Moving a lot provided ample opportunities to learn to adapt to change and build relationships in different places and contexts. Samantha and I have been married for more than 15 years. We have three great kids: Katie (12), Levi (9) and Jude (7). Samantha and I met at California Baptist University (CBU) in 1998, and we have been in Southern California ever since. I have a bachelor’s degree in Christian studies from CBU and a master’s degree from Golden Gate Theological Seminary.

We love seeing people come to Christ and experience the life change that comes from living life the way God intends. Our family loves to hike, and Samantha and I are coffee enthusiasts. I coach soccer and enjoy watching my kids play.

About My Church Plant

We were members at Church in the Valley (CIV) from 2001–2018, and I was on staff from 2006–2018. Church in the Valley has really prepared and trained me for ministry. I want to start a church that extends what we've been part of for the past 16 years within CIV and the 17:6 Network. That is, to help people see life differently and, therefore, live differently.

In the summer of 2018, we started Ridgeview Church in North Fontana within the Inland Empire. It's one of the fastest growing areas in Southern California and a place where many young families are putting down roots. We desire to reach young families who are feeling pressure in the major arenas of life (career, finances and raising kids). As this pressure builds, there are opportunities to show people the difference Jesus makes in the things that really matter.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

Pray for our launch team of eight adults and six kids as we move and get settled into new neighborhoods. Pray for receptive hearts within the community of North Fontana. Pray for our kids to get a real sense of how they can be part of this great adventure in God's mission.

Pray for the community of North Fontana. Pray for our family on a weekly basis. Connect with us as a Supporting Church (financially or with volunteer )
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
