About My Family

I grew up in a Christian home and in the church all my life. I went to Christian school but didn't see my faith truly flourish until my second year of college. My faith went beyond just a believing faith to becoming an acting faith, where I went on numerous missions trips and served in my college ministry and in my church. I dedicated two of my summer breaks to serving in missions, one being in New York City (NYC). Through those opportunities, the Lord developed a desire and joy in my life for ministry.

After graduating college, I spent a lot of time praying about God's will and next steps for my life, which is when He led me to surrender to His call of ministry and drew me back to serve in NYC once more. This will be my fourth time serving in NYC, and I am excited that God allowed me to be part of His plan for the people of this city!

About My Church Plant

Redemption Church is located in a very diverse neighborhood in Brooklyn called Red Hook. Red Hook was once called the "crack capital of the U.S." and has a history of crime, drugs, poverty and brokenness. The people of Red Hook can be divided into two groups: half being low-income families and the other half being young professionals. The heart and soul of Redemption Church is to bridge the gap between these two people groups with the redemptive work of Jesus Christ through His gospel. We desire to be a church that goes beyond being like family to actually being family through serving together and being united with God and in His will.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
