About My Family

I served many years in Tehran as a underground church planter and faced regular physical and emotional persecution at the hands of the Iranian government. I was caught smuggling Bibles from Turkey and was pressured to reveal the identities of church members and other Christian leaders. I refused and shut the church down, spending the next two years under house arrest, unable to be part of the Christian community.
My wife, Anet, and I came to Los Angeles as refugees in 2009 and planted our first church in Burbank. Our daughter, Emily born in 2011 and our son, Evan in 2016. We became U.S. citizens in 2015 and desire to serve God here knowing there is freedom of religion. We want to take this great opportunity to preach the gospel. Please partner with me in reaching Muslims and unreached groups in Los Angeles and the world.

About My Church Plant

After planting our first church in Burbank, God led me to start another church to reach Muslims in the "Tehrangeles" area of west Los Angeles, which has the largest Iranian population outside of Iran. More than 500,000 Iranians live in west Los Angeles. Three years ago I started to pray and seek God's will for reaching those from my country, and we launched Grace Iranian Church in January 2017.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

Pray for Grace Iranian Church and its leaders. Pray for partners. Pray for the protection of new believers with Muslim backgrounds.

Please join our ministry in reaching Muslims in Los Angeles so they will take the gospel to their families and home country. I believe if we reach them here , we can reach their families and friends in the Middle East .
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
