About My Church Plant

CityLight Church is a new church plant on the south side of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We meet in a local Christian school gymnasium in a neighbourhood very close to the University of Manitoba (UofM). We have a significant ministry to international students from more than 116 countries at the University of Manitoba. Our church meets in the community near the UofM and seeks to reach out to the very diverse people living on the south side of Winnipeg. This area of Winnipeg is made up of many newcomers to Canada from all over the world. We have a huge opportunity to reach the nations for Christ, right where we are planted. We are praying for more individuals, couples and families to join our launch team so we can effectively launch CityLight Church. Please reach out to me if you'd like to hear more about our ministry:

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

Pray that individuals, couples and families will join our launch team. Pray for the University of Manitoba as we engage the campus with the gospel and minister to international students from 116 countries! Pray for conversions as we preach the gospel in South Winnipeg. Pray for the financial means to launch our church well in the community.

Join our launch team. Give to this mission. Join us on a missions trip (international student ministry at University of Manitoba AND/OR reaching young families from all over the world who live in South Winnipeg). PRAY! Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
