About My Family

We are native Arizonans excited about planting our second church in Arizona in the city of Tucson. During the past 17 years together, we have served as church planters as well as equipping more than 350 church planters. Currently Brian serves as church planting pastor at Hope Church in Las Vegas. The call to plant again came during a worship service in 2015 as Dr. Danny Akin read from Romans 15:20, “I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written, 'They who had no news of Him shall see, and they who have not heard shall understand.'”
Though we enjoy planting, nothing compares to the love for our family. We have four children and our youngest two are adopted. Adoption has changed us and gives motivation to bring orphans into the family both physically and spiritually. We love the outdoors and look forward to experiencing the beauty of the Sonoran Desert in and around Tucson.

About My Church Plant

Aspire Church is planted in the community of Tucson where there is a population of 1 million people. Nine hundred thousand of these residents do not know Christ. Because of the overwhelming number of lost people and lack of churches, Aspire Church wants to partner with other churches in planting more than 300 disciple-making churches over the next 20 years. Aspire Church will be birthed in the Tucson community of Catalina Foothills where many leaders of Tucson reside. Catalina Foothills has a population of 65,000, and not one evangelical church. By loving and discipling the people of this community, Aspire Church will impact key leaders and their spheres of influence in this growing and influential city.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. Pray for our family as we transition to Tucson. Pray for key families who are praying about moving with us to reach this city. Pray for jobs to open up for those wanting to relocate and join Aspire Church in Tucson. Pray for spiritual covering for our family and team as we expand the kingdom in this spiritual desert.

We invite believers to relocate to Tucson as missionaries and help us connect people to live the life of a Jesus follower. We invite teams to conduct prayer surveys in our new community. Bring teams to conduct sports and art camps for the kids in our city. Bring service teams to serve not only in our area but south Tucson, one of the most impoverished areas in the country.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
