About My Family
I was born in Youngstown, Ohio. When I was a teenager my family moved to New Orleans, La., for my father to attend seminary. Then we moved to Lake Charles, La., for my father to be director of the Seaman’s Ministry. I met Suzette while I was attending McNeese State University. I felt the call to ministry during college. Suzette and I were married, and we moved to Orlando on our honeymoon. We fell in love with the city and have been here for 32 years.
I served as chaplain at a campground for several years. I also served as youth pastor at several churches in the Orlando area. I now work full time driving buses for Disney. Suzette was born and raised in Sulphur, La. She received her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from McNeese. She served as secretary for several churches in the central Florida area. She also served at the Greater Orlando Baptist Association for many years. She was receptionist/ministries assistant for 13 years and then served as the resort ministries director for five years.
We have two sons, BJ (30) and Michael (28). Michael and his wife, Sarah, have two sons. All the children and grandchildren now live in Sulphur, La.

About My Ministry
Orlando continues to lead the world as the number one tourist destination with 68 million visitors each year. Orlando is not only a great vacation paradise but an international mission field with kingdom opportunities. The world comes to Orlando. My wife, Suzette, and I are the co-directors of Reaching Orlando with Compassion and Kindness (ROCK ) Ministries.
Although our ministry is year round, summer is our most intense time of ministry. We recruit summer missionaries to serve with us for 10 weeks. This summer we will hope to have 18–20 students from different states. These college students will comprise three different teams. The creative arts team performs family entertainment shows at venues in tourist areas. Also, we have the Give Kids the World (GKTW) team volunteers and Lifestyle Innovators who work at Fun Spot amusement park in Kissimmee. All students conduct Kids Clubs at hotel pools, reaching children from all over the world. Join us as we reach out with compassion and kindness to the tourists and to those working in the tourism industry in Orlando, Fla.
