About My Family
Chad and Jodi both grew up in Charlotte, N.C., where they were high-school sweethearts. They were married in 2009. Jodi has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and worked as an elementary school teacher for four years, while Chad pursued his M.Div. degree from Southeastern Seminary.
After learning about the low evangelical percentage in southern New England, God clarified a call for them to plant their lives there. In 2013, Brayden was born, and six months later they moved to southern Massachusetts where Chad served as a North American Mission Board church planting intern, a church planter apprentice, and finally launched South Coast Church in September 2015.

About My Church Plant
South Coast Church launched in September 2013 and from the outset they have been committed to reaching people who are far from Christ, helping them come to know God intimately, grow in community and go make disciples of others. The need in New England is too great for any one church to meet, so they are committed to training leaders and sending out teams to plant other churches in and around the south coast of Massachusetts.
Right now, there is less than 1 percent evangelical presence in Dartmouth and New Bedford, Mass. Their vision is to see that number rise to 10 percent, which means 40 churches in Dartmouth and New Bedford averaging 350 people. By God's will, that will come about through a commitment to church planting, church strengthening and teamwork fueled by a move of the Holy Spirit.

NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
