About My Family

Charlie is a transplant to the Mid-Atlantic. Raised in Florida, he was born in Key West and grew up in Fort Myers. It was after the death of his father at age 15 that Charlie met Jesus. Charlie and Erin have been married for more than a decade and can often be found on a stoop eating ice cream with their three young children, Charlie III (Trip), Kai and Gabriella. Charlie has actively served in ministry for more than a decade. He served several years on staff as a pastor in Florida. The Mitchells completed a church plant residency of Epiphany Fellowship Church in Camden, N.J., under the oversight of Pastor Doug Logan and Dr. Eric Mason. He is currently completing his master's degree in church planting through Capital Seminary. Charlie’s passion is to see the gospel planted in the city of Baltimore.

About My Church Plant

At Epiphany Church, our aim is to help our neighbors, love God, love people and transform the world around them. We are not satisfied with how things have been here in Baltimore, and we believe God is calling us to be agents of change by preaching the gospel and making disciples among the feared, forgotten and far off.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

Pray that we would be bold in our proclamation of the gospel. Pray that we would be relentless in the face of spiritual attack and darkness. Pray that when things get difficult, we will choose joy, knowing that God has called us. And pray for partners who would labor alongside us here in the city.

There are three essential ways you can partner with us here in Baltimore city. First, commit to pray for us and our team as we labor to transform the city of Baltimore with the unstoppable power of the gospel. Second, prayerfully consider financially partnering with us. Your financial gifts will go toward making an eternal impact in the lives of those who are lost and far from God. Third, consider joining our team here in Baltimore.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
