About My Family

Children are a blessing from the Lord, and we are about as blessed as can be in 20 years of marriage. We have eight children ages 5 through 17 who are ready and eager to help in the mission.

Amy is a homeschool mom to most of our children. We have one in public high school and one soon joining the National Guard Reserve while attending Boyce College. Amy also leads a community moms group that gives local moms a place to connect, rest and grow.

I have 10 years of experience as a lead pastor—three years bivocationally and seven full time. I also have 12 years experience as an engineer. I have a Master of Theology degree from Midwestern Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Amy and I have been used powerfully in the past and look forward to what God has planned for the coming years in church planting.

About My Church Plant

The mission of Connect Church is to plant churches in towns that have no Bible believing churches. In Luke 4:42, the crowd is following Jesus and wants him to stay there but Jesus says, “I must preach the Good News to other towns as well.” In Romans 15:20-21, Paul says he would like to visit Rome (the capital city) but that his first ambition is to go where Christ is not yet preached. These statements reflect our heart as well.

We seek to build biblical churches in communities with no churches. We are starting in Aviston (pop. 2,000) and Germantown, Illinois (1,500). Both of these towns have a Catholic church and nothing else. There are also neighboring towns of about 1,000 with no non-Catholic church. We are looking to build multiplying small groups that become churches that create more multiplying small groups that become churches.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.

Pray

Pray for boldness in sharing the gospel and open hearts in the towns we are trying to reach. Pray for openings in these communities that in the past have been essentially closed to non-Catholic ministries. Pray that through this ministry, more people would come to saving faith and live on mission. Pray for workers for the harvest. Pray that we would be able to connect with churches and individuals who would be willing to partner in ministry in these challenging small towns where no Bible believing churches currently exist. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
