About My Family

I am the pastor of Neighborhood Life Church. We are a new church plant in La Mirada, Calif. Before becoming a full-time church planter, I served with Truth Outreach Missionary Baptist Church for 13 years in Compton, Calif., as the co-pastor. God also allowed me to serve at the Union Rescue Mission as a chaplain for three years. While serving there, I learned how to be an advocate, a listener and a servant to the homeless community.

I was blessed to be able to earn a bachelor's degree from California Baptist University and a master's degree from Talbot Theological Seminary. I currently attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a doctorate in educational ministry in global missions.

I have been married for seven years. We have two Boston terriers. Spending free time with my wife is one of my favorite activities.

About My Church Plant

We are a new church plant in La Mirada. Our vision is to be neighbors to the whole city. We are a biblically centered, culturally engaged, and relationally driven family of believers committed to growing in loving God, loving others and serving our neighborhood by learning, living and sharing the gospel with our neighbors.

Biblical Vision: Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself Luke 10). Learn, live and share the gospel with our neighbors (Matthew 28:19-20).

City Vision: Be neighbors to the whole city.

Mission: Love God. Love others. Serve our neighborhood.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Please pray with us as we begin to reach the lower-income areas of our neighborhood, serve at-risk youth, serve the homeless population, serve the Title 1 school in the area and connect with high-school students. Please pray with us as we transition from our home to Stevens Christian Bookstore. Please pray with us as we learn how to serve our neighborhood of La Mirada and develop new relationships in order to introduce Jesus. Pray our outreach is effective and that we trust God to do the watering. Pray we will continue to grow and mature in Christ.
