About My Family

I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and moved to Boston when I was 3. I was raised in central Massachusetts and have always called it home. I have a bachelor's degree in pastoral leadership and biblical exposition and a master's degree in secondary education.

My wife, Sarah, and I have moved around quite a bit. During the past five years, we have lived in Virginia, Louisiana and Georgia. The Lord didn't waste any of those seasons, and we now find ourselves back in Worcester, Mass., leading a church plant.

Sarah and I have a 3-year-old boy, Oliver, who keeps us busy. Sarah works as an NICU nurse and at a women's pregnancy center here in Worcester. I am bivocational and work as a teacher/tutor for teens who are stabilizing and detoxing and have accepted a full-time job as a teacher in a nearby school district.

About My Church Plant

City Light Church is in Worcester, Mass. Kevin McGinn and I lead it as co-pastors. City Light's motto is to help people find and follow Jesus. Simply put: the harvest is plentiful in New England, but the laborers are few. We strive to be a light for our city by pointing people to Jesus and placing ourselves, our core groups and city groups in the fracture points of our city.

Our city is riddled with brokenness due to chronic homelessness, struggling single-parent homes, low-income areas and the opioid epidemic. We want to place ourselves strategically in the midst of Worcester's most populous ZIP code to address not only physical needs, but spiritual needs that can only be satisfied through a relationship with Christ.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray for the planters' families as they work together in ministry. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray the Lord brings leaders who can help within the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy. Pray for our core group and the families who have joined us since July 2018. Pray for a central location for gathering and our official public launch later in 2019. Pray for Blithewood Park, a local park that we have decided to centralize a lot of our efforts. Pray for the leadership and our ministry partners (the existing partners and the ones to come).

Join us by praying for City Light, our core team and our prayer requests above. Join us by becoming a monthly financial partner. Though we don't have a central location yet, we'd love to eventually host teams who could just experience Worcester and learn the about our city and see the work the Lord is doing here.
