About My Family
Shannon and I have been married since June 2007. We have three children: Carsyn, Cruz and Ruby. My primary gifting is shepherding and teaching. My primary responsibilities include shepherding the flock, casting the overall vision for the church, leading volunteers, teaching and evangelism. After graduating from seminary, I served as an associate pastor in the Bay Area and recently completed a two-year pastoral residency program, preparing me to plant and pastor the church God has called me to plant.
Shannon is an amazing mom to three wonderful children, as well as a gifted entrepreneur who has started two businesses from scratch. The Cunninghams have lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and have both felt a burden to plant a gospel-centered church in Santa Cruz County.

About My Church Plant
The ultimate core value of our church is the worship of Christ. We believe that the entire Old Testament points forward toward Christ and that all the New Testament points backward to Christ. Each of our other core values stem from this.
We believe one of the ways we worship Christ is through being disciples and making disciples. Teaching others through life and doctrine, we will lead and walk with others to become dedicated and committed followers of Christ. We believe that the worship of Christ and discipleship are not values exercised in isolation, but in community. We highly value the local church, which is the visible expression of the body of Christ here on earth. We believe that living in community for the glory of God is one of the best ways to represent and share Christ faithfully to our unbelieving friends and family.

NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
