About My Family

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Tara, since 2002. We are die-hard sports fans (Boomer Sooner, OKC Thunder, Dallas Cowboys). We love to shop and exercise. Well, I love to exercise, Tara loves to shop. We both love to travel and spend time with family. I had a 10-year battle with cancer, but by the grace of God, I'M STILL HERE and cancer free!

I work at Emory University in operations management. Tara has a degree in child care from Western Oklahoma State University. She has worked in childcare for almost 20 years. We hope to one day have children of our own.

Our mantra: People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. We believe the Lord will perfect everything that concerns His children (Psalm 138:8). We love the Lord our God with all our heart. May God bless you, and may heaven smile upon you!

About My Church Plant

I was called into the ministry in 2002. I have an associate's degree in biblical studies/Christian ministries and a bachelor's degree in church leadership/church planting. I am seeking to enroll at Emory University to complete my master's and doctorate in theology.

In 2013 we planted Perfecting Faith Church in Altus, Okla. After three years of ministry there, God called us to plant a church in Georgia. I love preaching the Word of God and reminding others that God is still alive in today's world.

Mission: Build an army, not an audience.
Vision: A family rich in relationships matters most.
Core Values: Biblical application, faith, excellence, intentionality, compassion, relationships, generosity, simplicity.
We love the fact that God has called us to make disciples and help others become proficient in their walk with Him.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is person who, in response to God’s call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at “Send me.”

Pray we will have a divine impact in the community in which we plant. Pray souls will see the face of God in an unprecedented way. Pray we can lead the children of God into a closer relationship with Him. Pray we can reach, reconcile and restore human lives.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with our work. Commit to long-term missions support with us. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit sendnetwork.com/PlanterFunding for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
