About My Family

I was born and raised in a small town in southern Ill., while Anna was raised in a small town just west of Nashville, Tenn. Anna and I met at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky. We married in June 2008 and have four children: Mckenzie (11), Laney (9), Levi (6), and Knox (9 months).

About My Church Plant

For more than 12 years, I have served in student ministry as a volunteer, part-time youth pastor and full-time student pastor. I have served churches in Kentucky, Illinois and Texas. I graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2017 with an M.A. in Christian studies.

The Lord has been faithfully preparing me through the years for this moment as He uses us to plant a gospel-centered, multiplying church in Adel, Iowa.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. Pray the lost people in Adel would respond to the gospel and follow Jesus.

As we go, so can you. You can participate with us in kingdom work by coming to serve with us in Adel. Whether it is serving the community through an existing event or helping us meet a need in the community, we would love to have churches, individuals and families come and serve with us.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
