About My Family

We were both born and raised in Texas. Pam was saved as a 9-year-old and Gene at age 25. We have four grown and married children and 10 precious grandchildren—all living in Texas. Before going into ministry full time, Gene worked in the oilfield, and Pam was a school teacher. A number of years ago we were both impressed by the Lord to serve Him in a way other than the local church when we retired. After a few more years God told us: "go now!" So Gene quit his oilfield job, and we moved to Montana to become missions team coordinator and children's director at a small church plant in St. Regis, Mont., where we served for two years. In 2013, God called us to the small town of Lincoln, Mont., as pastor of Lincoln Baptist Church.

About My Ministry

We serve at Lincoln Baptist Church in Lincoln, Mont., population 800. Lincoln is situated along the upper Blackfoot River in a valley in the middle of beautiful mountains just south of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Lincoln is about 55 miles over the mountains from Helena, 80 miles from Missoula and 85 miles from Great Falls.
Our church was started about 25 years, and it has had many struggles, including a series of 15 different pastors during that time. The community is struggling because the timber and mining jobs are no longer available and there are so few other jobs here. There is a strong presence of alcohol and drug use. There have been four suicides and two more attempted suicides since we moved here. There is a lot of hopelessness among not only the adults, but also the teenagers. The desire of our small group of believers at Lincoln Baptist is to spread the hope of Jesus in the community. We serve as Montana Disaster Relief chaplains and also are chaplains for our Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department and EMS. Pam also serves with the Montana Literacy Ministry as one of three volunteer literacy seminar teachers. She teaches Tutoring Youth and Children seminars throughout the state.

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
