About My Family

I am originally from Upstate New York, but my family moved to Hickory, N.C., the summer before I started high school. I come from a strong Christian family who has encouraged me to be living my life for Christ since a very young age. God has always blessed each chapter of my life with phenomonal churches, pastors, leaders and missionaries who have encouraged me to become the woman I am today.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a double major in psychology and education and a minor in mathematics. My first mission field was a middle school classroom and gym. I loved teaching math and coaching volleyball and basketball. I strived to have a positive, godly influence on every student I encountered. I was very involved with my home church's youth group both as a youth and later as a leader.

About My Church Plant

I served for five and a half years as the community outreach coordinator at Southwinds Church. While there I learned much about coordinating events both large and small, developing partnerships within the community and with partners from the States and how to best serve my church family. God has given me a new assignment and asked me to take the things I have learned and share them with more pastors, church planters and team members in my city. I have joined Bob Shelton, Calgary's Send City missionary, in serving on the Send Calgary team full time. One of my key roles is to serve as the partnership coordination team leader. This role gives me the opportunity to train up church leaders in how to do outreaches into their communities and partner with churches from the States to serve their communities together. I am taking what I've learned at Southwinds and sharing it with more people.
God has also given me the opportunitiy to serve at a new church plant called Multiply Church. This church will launch February 25, 2018. We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we seek to fight back darkness in part of the city with little to no gospel influence around us.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

For churches as they send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in Canada. For receptive hearts among the people in Silverado, Shawnessy and surrounding communities where we serve. For churches and individuals to partner with Send Calgary and Multiply Church and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join us here. For Multiply Church as we launch February 25, 2018! For Holly to continue to trust God for His provision of finances, support and other needs as she serves.
