About My Family
I'm from an atheistic family. Once I got a book about creation and evolution. Simple logic of the book has turned my worldview upside-down. In this book, there was an offer to pray a prayer of repentance. I prayed and felt the Spirit of God come into me. This moment is one of the brightest in my life. I distinctly remember how I got up from my knees after the prayer already absolutely convinced of the existence of God and the whole spiritual world. From that time until now, I feel the leading hand of God in my life.
About My Church Plant
I took part in the planting of three churches in Ukraine. I was the leader of the church planting team when planting the third church. My team and I are currently in the process of planting a Slavic Church in Los Angeles. I am planting a church for Russian-speaking immigrants in Orange County.
These people are from countries that used to be part of the former Soviet Union, mostly from Ukraine. These immigrants do not have church backgrounds and are looking for community and friendship. We are using outreach to families with young kids to gather people. We plan on starting an in-person service in fall of 2021.
