About My Family

Ray and Deenie have a life verse: "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30, ESV). When God called us to ministry more than a decade ago, this verse compelled us to surrender our previous careers and family goals and allow God use our family as He desires.
Ray spent more than 20 years working in information technology and Deenie more than 20 years as a medical laboratory technologist. Both of us have managed departments and provided leadership at several institutions during our careers. Giving up our lives and moving our three children away from family was not easy but has been the most fulfilling adventure we have ever undertaken. Through these years, God has burned a passion for planting into our souls. Our heart's desire is to see people become true Jesus followers.

About My Church Plant

The Southwest is known for many things, but everyone knows, even if you've never visited, that it's hot and dry, but it's not always that way. Winters are quite mild and comfortable. It's a place many seek out. Most people experience life much the same way. No one lives an unchanging life and sometimes the changes you experience are drastic and life threatening. This is why every person needs a Rock, a shelter in the times of storm or the oppressive heat of life. CrossLife Church desires to be a people grounded in sharing the hope of forgiveness and the promise of a transformed life through Jesus Christ. We believe God's mission is not just to be talked about but lived out so those in need can see salvation is near.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
