As a 501(c)(3) organization, the North American Mission Board respects the intent of givers while retaining discretion over the use of all gifts. Any gifts received above the specific need will be applied where the need is greatest.

About My Family

I have served as a college pastor and worship leader at Northside Baptist Church since 2009 and, most recently, as the church planter resident at Long Hollow Baptist Church.

My wife, Rachel, is a gifted speech language pathologist who has served children in the school system and in clinics since 2013.

We have a 2-year-old son who loves to worship and is excited to make new friends in California. We are all very excited about this next season of ministry as we have been called to serve the people of Los Angeles and share with them the stories of Jesus Christ and the life-changing power that comes through having a relationship with Him.

About My Church Plant

We believe the church exists to glorify God by equipping disciples to reach the lost. At Echo Church, our ambition is to make “God’s glory resound” in Los Angeles by “echoing” the love of God and making disciples who make disciples.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God’s call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at “Send me.”

Pray

Pray for the people of Los Angeles and Orange County. Pray that God would already be planting seeds and moving in people we will meet next year. Pray for the team who will be moving with us. Pray God would encourage them and provide jobs and a place to live. Pray for our ministry partners. Pray that we can develop quality relationships with others who will help support and pray for us. Pray for my wife, Rachel, and son, Preston. Pray that God will strengthen and provide for them in this transition.

Participate

We ask that you would pray weekly for us as we step out in faith to plant in Los Angeles. We ask that you would give monthly to help us accomplish the calling God has placed in our hearts. We ask that you would go yearly on a short-term missions trip to serve our team and the city.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
