About My Family

Hello! I’m the worship leader and video director for H2O Athens, which is on the campus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I’ve been involved in college ministry since 2009 and went on staff in fall of 2015.

God called me to play music for Him way back in 2001, and it’s amazing to see where He has taken me in order to prepare me and grow me into the man He wants me to be. I spent some time in the Air Force traveling the world watching God follow through with His work in me, leading me to where I am now.

While at Bowling Green State University, I was called to minister to college students because I saw many turn from their faith. They longed for the approval of others. But I also saw God move in amazing ways. To watch the unsaved turn to Jesus, be discipled, learn to lead, and then disciple others in Christ is what it’s all about.

About My Church Plant

At H2O Church, we are passionate about sharing the hope of Jesus in an environment where Christianity is stereotypically opposed or forgotten. Our desire is not to provide another campus social group, but a place where students and Athens community members can experience a deeper community of believers seeking to live out their faith through discussion groups, Bible studies, service projects, Sunday services, mission trips and more.

We hold most of our services and Bible studies on campus and in dorms so the students have easy access to the Word of God and to becoming part of the community. One of our main goals is to create leaders in the church who understand their relationship with Christ so when they go out from Athens they can live out the Great Commission stated in Matthew 28:19.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.

Pray

We are finishing our second year here on the campus, and I pray that we can even make a bigger impact on the student life here on campus. Pray that doors will be opened for H2O to be able to reach new students Pray that opposition would be light, but when opposition comes that we would handle the word of God responsibly. Pray that we will also be able to reach the faculty, not just the students. Pray that the students will see us as a safe organization and a loving one. Pray that we will be able to create great relationships with other organizations. We are just starting to consider opening a city side up to the church, so lots of prayer for facilitating that.

Participate

The importance of students following Christ is immeasurable. We want them to grow strong in their faith and send them out after graduation to their home communities and countries, in turn, being missionaries who help lead others to Christ. If you believe that it's important to have Christ present on campus, please consider supporting me financially on a monthly basis because without you, H2O church isn’t possible.
