About My Family

We are just simple folk who love the Lord and people. We live on a farm, have a small herd of cattle, raise chickens for eggs and live the farm life. My beautiful wife, Jessica, currently works for the county. My daughter, Joelle (our teenage toddler), helps me on the farm and with ministry. We live in the southwestern panhandle of Nebraska. We are almost in Colorado and basically Wyoming. We enjoy camping, hunting, fishing and admiring God's creation. Often, we refer to ourselves as God's spoiled children. We know every gift comes from the Father and want to honor Him in all we do. Our life is very much not lucrative and definitely not for everyone, but He has placed us exactly where He wants us, and we are thankful!

About My Church Plant

We have a vision of planting and replanting churches throughout northeastern Colorado, western Nebraska and southeast Wyoming. Our hearts are burdened for the forgotten rural areas, and these are the people whom we are called to reach. Rural ministry is not lucrative. There are few resources and, truthfully, there are not many people kicking down the doors of seminaries to go to sparsely populated areas where there is no or little compensation, jobs, etc.

Right now, within a 60-mile radius of our location are eight communities/small towns that have either a lackluster gospel presence or no gospel presence at all. That means people in rural areas who are not hearing the gospel are dying and going to hell. We aim to change that. Our heart is for these areas, raising up leaders locally and sending them to build sustainable churches.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is person who, in response to God’s call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at “Send me.”

Pray

Pray as we move forward that Jesus would be made non-ignorable in the rural areas we serve. Pray for us as we disciple a number of men and women. Three are being prepared to send out for pulpit supply. Also there will be a formal preaching cohort starting in the new year. Pray for our finances as we raise support. We are praying Jessica can give up her job with the county to help focus on home and ministry.

Participate

Become a sending or partnering church with us. Pray for us—constantly! Come and see the need and what God is doing here! We need teams to come help us do evangelism and outreach, followup, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, block parties, prayerwalking and surveying of areas. We need teams to help us do work on the two church buildings. Come alongside us financially as we press forward in the kingdom.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
