About My Family

Hi, there! My name is Kristie. I'm from Mississippi originally, but God has called me to serve in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! I grew up in the Bible Belt in a Christian family that was devoted to regular church involvement and attendance. I became a follower of Jesus Christ when I was 12 years old, and I began to serve Him not too long after that by leading worship for my youth group regularly. Over the years, God grew my heart for music and ministry together, and I would eventually study music and worship leadership in college/university. During my time in junior college and university studies, I had several opportunities to volunteer with a church in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada (about 30 minutes or so from Calgary.) Through my time there, God burdened my heart for the people of Canada as I saw a desperate need there for the gospel.

About My Church Plant

As a church planting team member, my aim is to serve Multiply Church in Calgary through the ways in which God has gifted me musically to share the gospel and edify the body of Christ. The ultimate aim is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through building community and meeting people where they are. I'm currently serving as the worship leader at Multiply Church where I oversee song selection, worship team development, rehearsals and organization and planning for aspects of the service related to music and transitions. I desire to build relationships with musicians in the community and give them opportunities to serve as they feel called. I also desire to provide opportunities for those who attend Multiply Church to hear the gospel through the song selections each week.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
