About My Family

Matt and his family are new to the Albany area and the Calvary family. Matt grew up on the Oregon coast. Upon graduating high school he joined the Navy where he began his life's mission of service. He met his amazing wife, Tiffany, at his first duty station, and she's been following him all over the world ever since. They have three awesome kids.

Matt loves coffee, sports (football and basketball), laughing and telling jokes and Jesus, but probably not in this order.

About My Church Plant

We are doing a replant at Calvary Baptist Church. We hope to give the church new life, which is a concept we see many times in Scripture. Christ came so that we could become new creations. By His grace, we are raised from the dead and given new life in Him. This is our hope for the city of Albany—new life.

Lots will be changing in this 34th Avenue building over the next year—new families, new paint, new vision and newmission. But the change we most look forward to is the one our God will make in the hearts and lives of each of us and our community because the gospel changes everything.

Our Mission=Making much of Jesus in all of life.

Our Strategy= To make, mature, and multiply disciples.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom we speak. Pray that through this ministry, more people would come to saving faith and live on mission.

Pray for us. We need lots of prayer. Build relationships with our families and buy into the mission we are doing here in Albany. Send notes of encouragement.
Learn the ministry strategy and context, so you can provide relevant resources. Support a missionary financially.
