About My Family

A profound revelation came to me at age 17, "Change now or spend the rest of my in jail!" God was speaking to me, and I didn't even know it. I should have been transferred to an adult correctional facility on my 18th birthday, but I was given a leadership role in mentoring incoming juvenile inmates. Following my release, my goal was to obey the law and stay out of jail, but the environment to which I returned promoted everything but freedom.
Shortly after coming home, I met my future bride. It was the light of Christ in her that led to my surrender. God then opened the doors at Thaddeus Stevens College where I graduated with honors. Today Janet and I celebrate 16 years of marriage. We have four amazing children, our oldest is in his junior year of college. Our family has been radically transformed by the life-changing POWER of Jesus Christ to whose service we have dedicated our lives.

About My Church Plant

"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it" (John 1:4-5).
In the Light Baltimore is a place where God is changing lives! Our mission goes beyond restoring the individual to strengthening the marriage and family as well. Our church plant is home to unique family ministries that include: Re-Engage Marriage Ministry, Kingdom Architects (men’s discipleship), Holy Housewives (women’s discipleship), Parenting classes and Beautiful You purity events for girls 7–18.
We impact northeast Baltimore by implementing our four drivers:

Reach (evangelism)
Teach (discipleship)
Release (church plants)
Partner (connect with kingdom-minded churches)

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
