About My Family

My wife, Alba, and I come from the Dominican Republic. I met our Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior in March 2009. After serving in the church for a long time, in 2013, I received the call of God to dedicate myself to full-time ministry. I wanted to be a pastor/missionary. In 2014, by God's providence, I went to the Rio Grande Seminary in Texas to prepare for ministry.

Alba studied in the same seminary. We graduated in 2017 and undertook this adventure to attend to our call.

About My Church Plant

In June of 2018, God gave us the opportunity to start a Hispanic church in the city of Lebanon, Ore., through the Northwest Baptist Convention, the North American Mission Board and Trinity Baptist Church. Thank God, it has been one year since planting in our community. God has blessed us by helping us have contacts with whom we are developing relationships and sharing the gospel.

By the providence of God, we have begun two home Bible studies. After almost a year, God gave us our first believer. We have seen growth and change for good in a sister in Christ. Her faith and commitment to Christ is strong. We have seen the hand of God at work, and we will continue to see it in different ways. We are happy to spend our lives in the service of God, and we continue to be expectant of what He will continue to do in our community.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

May God and His Word be exalted in all our works. Pray for the salvation of more people where we work. Pray for new koinonia house and the growth of those who are already saved. Pray for the families in whose lives we are working. Pray for new opportunities to share the gospel. Pray for God's care for us as planters.

Participate

You can be a partner in our ministry by praying for our plant and our family, becoming involved in our ministry, committing to long-term missionary support or in any way God moves you.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
