About My Family

I have been married to my lovely wife, Gervia (G) for more than 11 years. We have four children. Our teenage daughters are Jasmine and Schelby (not in photo), and our two boys are Phillip Jr. and Noah. We are a Christian family who loves the Lord and is striving to fulfill the mandate of the Great Commission in our lives daily. As a revitalization/church planting family, we are working to become a family that has an impact in both the church and in our community for the kingdom of God. We love to laugh, love and grow in grace. We are not a perfect family, but we are striving to become perfect daily according to the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit within us.

About My Church Plant

Grace and True Love Baptist Church is a revitalized church in the city of East Cleveland. This socially deprived community is comprised of people who need to know we care for them and that we are there for them as a community church to meet their provisional needs as a way of experiencing God's grace.

Our vision: Grace and True Love will glorify God by making disciples and leveraging our church’s resources, affiliations and community support to the poor, broken and misunderstood. By this, we intentionally engage in building bonds and creating an atmosphere of belonging while making disciples into leaders.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries. For the generosity of the saints to support the needs of both kingdom and messenger as we serve.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
