About My Family

I was born and raised in one of the most remote villages of Nepal. I converted from Hindu in my late teens and dedicated my life to proclaiming the gospel through word, deed and life. Hardships and suffering have helped to strengthen my faith and confidence in Christ. I maintained a successful career in integral missions to address the holistic needs of poor and marginalized people.

My wife, Aleno, was born and raised in a Christian family in Nagaland, India. She responded to God's call to go to Nepal as a missionary in 1998, where we met. We have been blessed with a son, Ato, who is eagerly preparing to join us in ministry.

I have extensive experience in casting vision, obtaining and organizing resources and motivating team members. In obedience to God’s call, we moved to New York from Nepal as missionaries in 2015.

About My Church Plant

Global Mission Church New York strives to be the center for the holistic transformation of our community, where spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs are met and people continue to celebrate the joy of life in Christ. Through this holistic transformation empowered by the Holy Spirit, the believing community will be actively engaged in sharing the gospel throughout the city and to the ends of the earth (Acts 2:42-47).

Our hope is that through the presence of this church, people will find peace and harmony in the community. Through our church community, we long to spread God's love by accepting people just as they are, praying for their salvation and engaging in leading people into the body of Christ.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Pray for boldness and opportunities to share our lives and the gospel with Nepalese speaking Hindus and Buddhists in Queens, N.Y., specifically in the Woodside, Sunnyside, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights and Corona neighborhoods. Pray that God would help us build an effective network with the NYC Center for Faith and Community Partnership so we can be salt and light to our neighborhoods. Pray for strong ministry partnerships, networks and leadership team. Pray for our son, who is an undergraduate studying music in India. Pray for the meeting of our family's and ministry’s needs.

Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
