About My Family

I was born in a small town just outside Ottawa, Ontario. I have been through a journey on which only God could have taken me, having seen stops in Chicago (4 years), Dallas (7 years) and Missouri for 11 years before finally settling back in Ontario. I met my better half, Cortney, in Texas. We have been married for 15 years and have four wonderful daughters, Madison, Haidan, Teagan and Hope. They fill our lives with examples of the love Jesus has for us and also stretch our limitations. We couldn't imagine having a better family and support staff.

About My Church Plant

I became a Jesus follower later in life, at 25 years old. Since then I have been playing catch up. Cortney and I helped plant a church in Waynesville, Mo., for five years before heading back to Canada where God called us to start Connect Goderich. The journey has been exciting and scary, but so vital to who we are. What started out as a church plant based on a life group model has turned into Connect. We meet every Friday for what is our church. We have worship nights every other Tuesday. Both teen guys and teen girls mentor groups meet during the week, and in June of 2018 we started a student centre for teens 13–19 called C1. God has taken this vision and blown it up into something that could only be His. There is nothing better than seeing teens with whom you spend weekdays come on a Friday night to learn more about Jesus.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
