About My Family

My wife, Michelle, and I have been married for 22 years and moved to the Marrero community of greater New Orleans in July 2014. We have two children, Erin (17) who is attending Boyce College in Louisville, Ky., and Walker (14). I am also pursuing my M.Div. at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and have served as the GenSend City coach for the North American Mission Board's Send Relief summer program and a chaplain for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

About My Ministry

West Bank Baptist Church seeks to become a multicultural, multiplying church planted in one of the most difficult contexts of greater New Orleans. With only three Southern Baptist churches in a community of more than 38,000 people, we work to present the gospel against the backdrop of cultural Catholicism and a false prosperity gospel that pervades our area. Having met for four years at a local elementary school, we have since returned to meeting in homes in order to steward our finances better. We serve our community through English as a Second Language classes where we minister to families from Vietnam, South and Central America and Palestine. God has also graciously opened doors to our Muslim neighbors with whom we have the privilege of sharing the gospel every Friday at the local mosque and in door-to-door evangelism.

For our family as we balance personal time with a growing church. For those who have trusted Christ to grow in their faith and for our men to mature into leadership roles within the church. For divine appointments to share the gospel daily and for God to open the eyes of the spiritually blind. For families to move to Marrero to assist us in the work of planting the church.

Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
