About My Family

Suzy and I have been married almost 25 years, and we have five sons. We have been serving the Lord since 1994 but started down the path of church planting in 2009 and are on our second church plant. Though the New York/New Jersey area is a spiritual hardscape, we see God moving and are grateful to be called to this area.

My oldest son graduated college in May 2018, while my youngest is in third grade. This wide age span between our children helps us stay young and connected to people in many life stages in our community. Our boys love music, sports, academics and people. They've grown up in a home that's all about hospitality, and they've had the benefit of seeing how we live out our faith. Between kids in school, sports, Suzy teaching, and me coaching soccer, we're heavily invested in our community.

About My Church Plant

Our church plant is in East Brunswick, N.J. East Brunswick has a tremendously diverse population in terms of race, ethnicity, education and religion. Our vision is to be a church in, for and from the community as we seek to represent Jesus as ambassadors of peace. Our congregation consists of Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Egyptians, Dominicans, Ecuadorians, Brazilians, Jews and Caucasians. Despite the tremendous diversity, we are finding fellowship and unity because of the work of Christ. We believe our greatest witness of reconciliation is how we do life together despite the differences we have.

Our heart is to multiply disciples and raise up disciplemakers. Our vision is to reach the unchurched and develop leaders by planting churches throughout central New Jersey.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

Pray we become a disciple making church that will keep reaching the lost and reproducing disciplemakers. Pray we would identify, train and deploy church planters and interns to fulfill our vision to plant 10 churches in the next 10 years in our area. Pray God would raise up planters in our local churches and through our Southern Baptist Convention partners to reach central New Jersey.

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with our work. Commit to long-term missions support with us. Be involved in supporting our church and family. Pray for us.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
