About My Family

I am an Oklahoma native, husband to April and father to D.J., Jerome and Andrew. I have 20 years ministry experience serving in the church and in para-church organizations. I have served in ministries in Oklahoma, Arizona and Oregon. I have a passion for teaching and equipping the body of Christ in finding their place of service in the kingdom.

April is an Oregon native. Her passion is teaching. She also has a passion for loving people, building relationships within the community and discipling people, young and old.

We have a passion for taking the gospel to the lost, marginalized and broken in our community. We have spent most of our ministry equipping and inspiring God’s people to meet the needs of their neighbors, especially at a local level. We truly embrace the mission of The Bridge, which is to LOVE ALL.

About My Church Plant

The Bridge exists to serve the underserved and to proclaim the gospel to those who are most desperate. Since 2000, we have done church with a simple model: love all. We do this by assessing and meeting the needs of a community while sharing the gospel of Christ.

The call of The Bridge is bigger than one city. With that in mind, we are committed to developing a system of “bridge” churches that work together and lean on one another for financial, spiritual and staff support. As with most inner-city churches, we cannot do it alone; instead, we plant as one church surviving together. We support individual congregations that bleed into a larger church family. Our prayer is that this model will provide the stability to serve our people for generations to come.

The Bridge Casa de Amor was planted in Mesa, Ariz., November 15, 2015.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray for boldness to share the gospel in our community. Pray for community families who are struggling with poverty. Pray God would give our church wisdom to know how to help one another as needs arise. Pray for our discipleship of new believers.

Connect as a prayer partner. Commit to long-term missions support of The Bridge Mesa. Consider supporting our new church plant. Send a team to help us reach our community.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
