About My Family

What an adventure God has allowed my family to live, and He's not finished yet! In 2001, my husband, Eric, my son, Aaron, and I moved to Las Vegas to help start a church. We have been witnesses of God's great life-changing power, as He has brought hundreds out of darkness and into His glorious light. Following Christ has not always been easy, but has been so worth it!

In 2008, we became aware that refugees from all over the world were being relocated to our thriving city. We began ministering in the urban part of Las Vegas where there are many international peoples living and planted Refuge Church in 2016. In March 2019, God called my husband home to be in His presence but has reaffirmed His calling on my life to continue with directing the community ministries under Refuge Church as a supporting staff member.

About My Church Plant

Refuge Church is located in a house with an office and two classrooms, which are set up to teach English as a Second Language and after-school tutoring throughout the week. We hold worship services and prayer groups on Sunday and Wednesday. We have a diaper bank for new mothers and even a prayer garden in the backyard. God has been so faithful.

I live in a neighborhood with many awesome friends from all over the world. Refuge Church and I have the privilege of pouring into the lives of people I believe have been moved to Las Vegas by God's sovereign plan to hear the truth of the gospel. We have opportunities to host many church groups and missions teams from all over the U.S. and to hold multiple outreach events in the many apartment complexes surrounding us. We can reach the world because He has brought the world to us!

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at

For Father God to send more workers into His harvest to join Refuge Church and me in His kingdom work in our community, Las Vegas, the West and the world. For churches and individuals to partner with Refuge Church and me and to give of their time and talents. For God's Holy Spirit to move freely in Las Vegas, the West and the world. For receptive hearts to receive the truth of God's Word among the people in communities where we serve. For strategic connections within the 89102 community to further the spread of the good news to an impoverished, hurting and lost community. For our pastoral and worship teams, that God would use them and encourage them to do His great work!

Commit to long-term support of Refuge Church and me. Be involved by participating in a short-term missions trip to Las Vegas. Pray daily for the Holy Spirit to move in this neighborhood.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
