About My Family
My journey began in Ethiopia, where I lived until 1997 before moving to Kenya as a refugee seeking a better life. In Kenya, I found faith in 2001 and dedicated myself to ministry. I took on various roles in church life and pursued formal theological education, through church help. I worked to plant churches in rural Kenya, partnered with a local church.
In 2017, I moved to Calgary, continuing my ministry through local outreach programs. My personal life took a significant turn in 2022 when I met my wife, Semeret, during a visit to Ethiopia. We married, and she joined me in Calgary in 2023. Together, we engage with the community, offering support and mentorship, while staying committed to guiding others toward Jesus Christ. Our journey from Ethiopia to Canada reflects faith, resilience and divine guidance.

About My Church Plant
Since moving to Calgary in 2017, I have immersed myself in the local community, focusing on aiding those in need, particularly those facing challenges. Inspired by a vision from God, we established a church to address these specific needs. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where people can experience Christ’s love in a relatable context. We focus on spiritual growth, evangelism, and bringing people to faith through baptism and discipleship. Our church aims to be a beacon of hope and a source of support, offering prayers, Bible studies, and social gatherings that not only address spiritual needs but also build a strong sense of community. We serve as a beacon of hope, offering prayers, Bible studies in the community. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where everyone feels valued and supported in their spiritual journey.
NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
