About My Family

Originally from upstate New York, I lived in Chicago for many years, worked in information technology and owned/operated my own IT strategy consulting business. In 2017, my husband and I moved to Madison. Wis., where I returned to school and became a chaplain in a local hospital.

I have an MBA from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in pastoral care from Loyola University and am currently an MDiv student at Loyola. We have five grandsons. I am active in hospice work for the home challenged and visiting women in the local Dane County jail. My husband and I are very active in our church, City On a Hill.

About My Ministry

I live in Madison, Wis., and am a full-time SBC-endorsed chaplain at Meriter Hospital. I plan to become a corporate chaplain in the Madison area. I have a heart for the chronically sick, the dying and people suffering from addictions.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

Prayer for hospitality and truth to those who do not believe in the message, particularly during these difficult political times and living in a radically liberal city. Prayer for grace in navigating conversations and ministry with other chaplains and leaders in a secular hospital. Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I minister. Pray for people to come to saving faith in Jesus. Pray for more to become missionaries and chaplains.
