About My Ministry
Our family moved to Victoria, British Columbia, in March 2013 after 13 years of ministry at First Baptist Biloxi. We moved not knowing anyone but had a strong call from the Lord to join Him in planting churches on Vancouver Island. We set out to learn a new ministry context, build relationships, pray for the city, serve the community and develop a team.
Canvas Church started in our living room in September 2013 with 15 people. In September 2014, we began hosting weekly worship gatherings in the western part of Victoria. Canvas currently has more than 400 people involved each month in our worship gatherings.
In February 2017, we planted a second campus on the eastern end of Victoria and have seen 70–100 people at each of these gatherings. We also minister to more than 400 children per year through Canvas camps.
