About My Family

My wife, Heather, and I have been married for 20 years and have two sons. Corben is 18, and Colbe is 15. Corben will be attending Oklahoma State University (OSU) as a freshman in the fall, and Colbe will be a high-school sophomore.

I was born and raised in southwest Oklahoma on a family farm. We are still involved in the farming and ranching industry. Also for the past 15 years I have been working on a drilling rig in the oilfield. A couple of years ago I felt God calling me into ministry.

While on a missions trip to Wyoming in the summer of 2017, my wife and I both felt God calling us to church planting. Over the past couple of years, we have been going through training for church planting with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) as well as teaming up with NAMB and the Wyoming Southern Baptist Mission Network.

About My Church Plant

In June 2020, we will be moving to Sheridan, Wyo., to continue laying the foundation for The Homeplace Cowboy Church. In the beginning, our ministry's main focus will be developing relationships with the residents, getting to know them and also the needs they have.

We will have weekly Bible studies for adult and youth as well as discipleship classes for new believers. Through these classes we will identify and grow church leaders who will help grow the church, and eventually we will launch a full worship service.

It is our hope and prayer to be used by God to make an impact in the community of Sheridan and even further through sending out church planters from The Homeplace in the years to come.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. For my family as we transition our lives from Oklahoma to Wyoming. For receptive hearts among the people in Sheridan where we will be serving. For churches and individuals to partner with us and The Homeplace Cowboy Church, giving of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join us on this mission.

At this time we are asking for people to partner with us through daily prayer and financial support. Becoming a financial partner will enable us to effectively reach the people of Sheridan and launch The Homeplace Cowboy Church.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
