About My Family

Billy is married to his beautiful wife, Allison. They have two daughters, Emma and Addyson, and a son named Elliot. Billy grew up in central Florida and studied at Northern Illinois University, Georgia Southern University and Reformed Theological Seminary.

Billy spent more than five years as a pastor at the Summit Church. During his time there, God called him to plant a church. Years of sitting under the teaching of Pastor JD Greear and being part of a Sending Church moved Billy and Allison’s hearts to plant a church. They believe that God’s church is His “plan A,” and they want to give their lives to pastor a healthy church in Alpharetta, Ga. Billy is passionate about preaching the gospel, seeing people come to faith in Jesus and serving others.

About My Church Plant

Our mission statement: We are a church that exists to facilitate a movement that multiplies disciples who worship God, serve our city and love our world.

Vertical Church launched on August 12, 2018. We launched with 231 people, and we continue to be a growing hub for the gospel in our city. Our goal is to be an army not an audience, and we will do that by equipping and catalyzing people to live in our city with gospel intentionality.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Our city is currently among the least churched in the country. Pray that our church can make in impact on this community by seeing people come to faith. Pray that our church will grow in unity and Christlikeness, growing to a maturity in Christ. Pray that the gospel would spread in Alpharetta and metro-Atlanta. Pray that all the churches in our area would be strengthened by the Gospel and God's glory would be revealed through His church.

Participate

Pray: We'd covet your prayer for both my family and our church. Give: If you'd like to be generous toward our church plant, that would be a great way to partner in the spread of the gospel to our community. You can do that by going to www.verticalchurchATL.com/give. Go: If you'd like to partner with us by either joining our team or sending a short-term team to serve alongside us connect us today.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
