About My Family

I have been married to Stamili since 2014. We now live in Aurora, Colo. Stamili is originally from Bujumbura, Burundi. She came to Denver in 2010 from a Tanzanian refugee camp. Stamili speaks Swahili and Kirundi and is getting better at speaking, reading and writing English.

I was reading my Bible when I was in Congo, where there has been a long civil war, and continued reading the Bible when I moved to California in 2010 from a refugee camp in Tanzania. I met a friend from a Bible-believing church who shared the gospel with me. I was baptized in 2010.

I moved to Colorado in 2014 and attended a Baptist church in Aurora. I served as an elder of the church. One day, I was reading Matthew chapter 6, and God instructed me to take care of the people coming from Africa. That led me to the call of God to plant churches.

About My Church Plant

Safina Church Swahili Ministry exists for the purpose of helping people who are from Africa know Jesus. We have the vision of preserving God’s people as God instructed Noah in Genesis 6:13-19. We fulfill this vision by connecting them to Jesus and teaching them the Word of God through a personal relationship with Jesus, coaching them to maximize their potential, discover spiritual gifts and cultivate a passion to impact our African community and the world.

We are convinced we should live as a community of faith that communicates God’s message, engages in ministry to the community and the world, reflects genuine transformation of hearts and behavior, and faithfully adheres to Jesus’ teachings.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
