About My Family
Brian received his undergraduate degree in biology in 1998 from Messiah College. He went on to work in pharmaceuticals and found himself at the Drexel School of Medicine. During this time, Brian felt a tugging in his heart to pursue ministry. He did not have an exact picture of what that meant, but the Lord had it all planned out.
One day, Brian found a college campus ministry opportunity in Philadelphia as a self-funded missionary with the North American Mission Board. Missionaries are appointed to a specific college campus in order to fulfill their ministry goals. It was only natural that Brian go to Drexel since he was there already, just in a different role. It took three and one-half years to convince the school to let Brian and Jennifer come in as their campus ministers. Not only had Brian and Jennifer taken a tremendous leap of faith, leaving two full-time jobs to go into ministry, but it seemed they would never find favor among the administration on this campus. Well … never say never when God is at the forefront of your life because all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose!
Brian has now been serving for 12 years as the Baptist campus minister at Drexel University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a 12-year-old daughter, Julianna, who is a published author and budding photographer. She is finishing up sixth grade. Jennifer is a licensed professional counselor and is the client services director at a pregnancy center ministry in Bucks County, Pa., where she has been ministering to single moms for eight years.

About My Ministry
Drexel University is a major university of more than 22,000 students and 6,000 employees located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pa. It is uniquely positioned adjacent to the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) and near University of the Sciences (USci) creating University City. There are 50,000 students in University City. This is a culture-creating hub for the state of Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region with national and international influence.
You can change the entire world by speaking into University City. Through a generous partnership with the university provided by the unique favor God has given Brian and Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Drexel, Brian has an office that sits on the corner between Drexel and UPenn. From this space Brian has the freedom to influence the campus in ways that most ministers only dream about.
He is recognized by the university as an official member with all the rights and privileges of any employee of Drexel except for the paycheck. He is known and consulted by many of the senior level staff and offices. Because of this unique access Brian has been able to minister to the entire university setting.
BCM has created programming and ministries designed to reach students, professional staff and faculty. Brian has been able to influence university-wide policies affecting the position of spirituality and religion on campus, creating a more respected status for evangelical Christianity. These efforts have not only been accepted by the university but solicited and rewarded. Most recently Brian has won the President's Award for Intercultural Engagement and Diversity.
BCM at Drexel has the unique opportunity to make a difference for the kingdom of God in ways that are not available on most other university campuses in our country and throughout the world. Please consider partnering with God through us as doors continue to open to impact this campus.
