About My Family

We are the Williams family—Brian, Heather, Tyler (7) and Levi (3). Heather and I have been married for 18 years. God has given us a heart for the people and land of rural Alaska, and we want to show those in rural Alaska the love that God has shown us all these years.

In 1996, my grandmother, who was my example for Christ at a young age, brought me to Alaska to visit my pastor uncle at age 11. While I did not see it for many years, God used that experience to plant a seed in my heart. God gave me a heart for the land of Alaska.

Heather and I moved to Alaska in 2014 and lived in Fairbanks, Tok, Skagway and Anchorage. God used those four and a half years to draw us closer to Him and forced us to grow in our faith. Now, God has called us back to Alaska with our children, and we are excited to see God work through this calling.

About My Church Plant

God has called us to the Copper River Valley of Alaska. He has given us a heart for the people of rural Alaska and has given us a vision to disciple and shepherd others, eventually leading to planting a church in the area.

Alaska is filled with many lost people, who are searching for the right things, but in the wrong places. So many pulpits are unfilled, and many communities never had a church. God burdened us with the ministry needs in rural Alaska, and we want to show those in rural Alaska the love God has shown us all these years. God used Alaska to draw us closer to Him and now He’s brought us back to help bring others to Him and shepherd His flock.

The key to this vision is reaching the young people of the area and discipling them to build a firm foundation in Christ.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.

Pray

Ask God to prepare our hearts and minds for His work in Alaska. Ask God to prepare the hearts of those we will serve. Ask God to send us people of peace (Luke 10:6) who are ready to follow Jesus.
