About My Family
I am single, never-married, have no kids and have lived in North Carolina since I was born in October 1991.
My great-great-grandfather helped to lay the physical foundation of a Southern Baptist church in my hometown of Edenton, N.C. My great-grandfather, grandfather, grandmother, mother and myself, respectively, each built upon and supported for decades SBC churches through various means such as church secretary, clerk, Sunday School teacher(s), choir and committee memberships.
Thanks be to God, I have had a joyful, active attendance in the Protestant church all of my life.

About My Ministry
I am a SBC endorsed chaplain serving both the Chowan County Sheriff’s Office in Edenton, N.C. and the Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office in Hertford, N.C. I am also the senior pastor of Blackwell Memorial Baptist in Elizabeth City, N.C., and 1/8 master chaplains in N.C.
I have earned many accreditations and training certificates over the years and two degrees: Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry from the College at Southeastern (now Judson College) in May 2022 and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary December 2023. I began my law enforcement chaplaincy in 2017 and give thanks to the LORD for the many officers I have been blessed to know and point to Christ.

SBC Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by the using agency and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.
