About My Family
I have been blessed to have been married to my bride for going on 30 years. We have two adult children, Anna (29) and Billy (22). I graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in 2002. My children are both active in ministry. My daughter runs sound and drives the church van for another church, as well as working with our plant. Our son is my music minister. My son is married, and my daughter married in October 2017.
About My Church Plant
Our church officially started here in Fort Wayne, Ind., July 9, 2016, with 20 in attendance. We have been blessed to meet in a building owned by the Pilgrim Holiness Church. We are partnering with them and to reach the community. Our focus is to reach those who have been previously hurt by the "church" and to help them return to God or maybe even meet Him for the first time, then train them to go out and reach the lost. We are making headway, but not as quickly as we would like. My wife and I have the blessing also of working with the director of missions in our association. My wife is the office manager, and I work with the missions teams who come to our area for missions work. Last year we had 1,200 missionaries come through our area, and we are looking to have around 1,600 this summer!
NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
