About My Family

I came to faith at the age of 25. In 2009, I sensed God’s calling and later studied at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Beginning in 2018, I served at Chinese Church in Arizona for six years. Later, I applied for the pastoral residency at Church on Mill.

During my residency, I personally experienced the life and rhythms of a healthy church, which deepened my burden to build healthy churches among Chinese communities. In June 2025, I decided to begin preparing for a Chinese church plant. I am currently receiving church-planting training under the guidance of the pastoral team at Church on Mill.

My wife, Betty, currently serves as a nurse practitioner in Arizona. She now devotes her time and energy to her family and to supporting Chinese church-planting work. We have been married for more than 19 years.

About My Church Plant

In the summer of 2025, under God’s leading, we planned to establish a new gospel-centered Chinese church in Tempe—a community devoted to faithfully proclaiming Christ, teaching biblical truth, and intentionally making disciples, that lives may be renewed by the gospel and God glorified with joy in Christ.

Our church is named Tempe Chinese Baptist Church (TCBC). Our mission is to make disciples among all peoples who delight the supremacy of Christ Jesus by living in a gospel-centered church family for the glory of God. Our core values are marked by nine core values, which describe who we are and what we do: big God, clear gospel, Word-centered ministry, meaningful membership, deep discipleship, gospel-centered life, dependent prayer, church-centered missions, and strategic evangelism.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for our family as we work together in ministry. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray the Lord will bring leaders and team members who can help within the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy. Pray throughout the church-planting process, we would hold firmly to a gospel-centered conviction and find our highest joy in Christ Jesus.
