About My Family
I grew up in Okinawa, Japan, where my dad worked for a company affiliated with the U.S. military. Laura grew up in West Africa, where her parents served as missionaries. Laura and I met at our home church in Arlington, Texas, while attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
During the summer of 2016, we served on Vancouver Island as part of the GenSend program. That’s when we both sensed God calling us to plant a church in metro Vancouver. We got married in June 2017 and moved to British Columbia in December 2018.
Laura and I love to explore the many regional parks nearby, welcome people into our home, play Scrabble and listen to audio books while working on puzzles. Our children fill our life with laughter and an abundance of love. Both love being outside in beautiful British Columbia.

About My Church Plant
New Song Community Church is being planted in Langley, a rapidly developing suburb in Metro Vancouver. We have the joy of ministering in a city that is both ethically and religiously diverse. Our dream is to become a multiplying multiethnic church that reaches Langley and beyond. We are seeing God’s redeeming hand at work, as people from all tribes tongues and nations respond to Jesus in faith, obedience and love.
Come to New Song on any given Sunday, and you will see that we minister to and with young multiethnic families and university students. It’s a beautiful mission field, and God is at work. Want to join us?

NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.
