About My Family
Kristy and I have been married for almost 25 years. God has done a mighty work in our family and has called us to a new season, a new adventure, and a new call to church planting.
We have two incredible college-aged children, who are passionately pursuing God’s call on their lives as well. We have always worked to serve the Lord in any capacity and have taught our children to listen to where God is working and to what He is calling them to do!
After raising our children in Concord, North Carolina, we moved to Sunset Beach, North Carolina, and are actively pursuing launching our church plant in the Calabash/Sunset Beach area in the fall of 2026. We covet your prayers as we build a launch team and a leadership team. We pray for open hearts and God’s clear direction as we lead people to experience Jesus and make disciples of Him.

About My Church Plant
God called me into the ministry of loving people like Jesus when I was 18 and working at Fort Caswell Youth Camp. After college, God allowed me to serve as an elementary school teacher and as a youth pastor and children/family pastor at the local church. For the past 14 years, I have served in “school ministry” as an elementary school principal, where I have been blessed to point more than 1,000 students and adults toward Jesus.
God recently called us into church planting. After being part of a church plant for the past 5 1/2 years, we are trusting this unexpected call and passionately pursuing what God has in store for Live Oaks Church and for Sunset Beach/Calabash. I believe that everyone has a God-written story and wrote a book in 2021 titled “Sign to Story,” encouraging others to let nothing hold them back from Jesus.
