About My Family
My wife (Sharon) and I served as missionaries in Southeast Asia for 10 years before God called us back the U.S. to replant a church in east Atlanta. Our kids, Abby (9) and Asa (5), were both born overseas.
We like to take long walks through the woods, sing silly songs and stay up late telling funny stories. We love being involved in what God is doing and are so humbled that He invites us along for the journey.

About My Church Plant
I didn’t expect to be called back to the U.S. to pastor a small church in east Atlanta. My wife and I both assumed we’d retire on the mission field. My ministry experience has mainly been cross-cultural. For seven years I co-pastored a refugee congregation in Southeast Asia, an experience both thrilling and formative. So, why replant? Because, it’s what God clearly called us to do. So, for the past year, we have helped a struggling church inside Atlanta’s east perimeter become all things to all people that by all means we might save some of them. And, I have to tell you, God is working here!
We’re looking forward to seeing how God uses The River Church to transform lives and help believers grow more and more into Christ’s likeness. God is good! He is faithful, and He is just getting started.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
