About My Family
Hello. My name is Colin Charles. I am from the beautiful Bluegrass region of Kentucky. I am blessed with the opportunity to serve in the same area where I grew up at the University of Kentucky (UK).
While at school to further my education in chemistry, I felt a calling to become a full-time minister to the students on campus. I had already been very active in the Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at my undergraduate Eastern Kentucky University and was on staff at the BCM at UK (BCM@UK). So, I have now pivoted into full-time ministry while also pursuing an M.Div. at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In addition to my ministry, I enjoy listening to and playing music, running, reading, and watching and playing sports.

About My Ministry
My role at the BCM@UK is as a campus ministry associate, working under Dr. Daniel Johnson, our regional campus minister. I oversee the student leadership teams of worship and outreach/evangelism. I also lead our students on our annual spring break mission trip, Beach Reach.
I also get to lead lessons for our leadership, give messages during our worship services, disciple students, help them get involved with our local church partners, and do any number of odd jobs the ever-changing job of campus ministry has. I am also involved in the worship ministry at my local church, Immanuel Baptist Church. I also travel with my friends to churches in Kentucky and nearby, where we lead worship for churches, ministries, youth groups, mission trips, and more.
