About My Family
After meeting in grad school while studying linguistics, we moved to Pittsburgh to join a local outreach team working with Muslim refugees. They speak a minority language that has no formal writing system, and they have no access to Scripture in their heart language.
We soon found Christ Central Church and have been heavily involved there as members while juggling tentmaking jobs and our language work with the refugees. We’ve been so encouraged by the congregation’s heart for its community and the chance to be discipled and disciple others.

About My Ministry
As formal members of the church planting team at Christ Central Church, I will be part of the pastoral internship, which will include practical training on evangelism, discipleship and preaching. C will be producing theological content for the church’s blog and starting a Bible study for the women of the congregation. We also expect to be involved in the planning of specific outreach events throughout the year.
We will continue serving the church in all the little ways, too, such as setup, teardown, song leading and snacks. We will also continue our work with the refugees, learning their language and helping them figure out how to preserve it and pass it down as they learn to flourish in America. We are excited to find ways to foster connections for Christ Central Church with God’s work of reaching the nations through diaspora outreach.
