About My Family

I accepted Jesus at the age of 10. At the age of 19, I was working at Glorieta Baptist Conference Center and, through a friend's example, God began to show me what true intimacy with Christ is, and I began my journey of truly abiding in Him. Soon after, I surrendered to missions. Since then I have received my M.A. in missiology at SWBTS, and I have served in many short- and long-term assignments all over the world.

While ministering in Hawaii, God began to call me to back to Memphis. I love everything Memphis: U of M Tigers, the Grizzlies and fun restaurants. I am proud to be a Memphian and believe God desires to see transformation in the lives of all those who call Memphis home. I love living in the same city as my family again, and I love being the proud owner of a Schi-zu named Silas. I am also an unashamed, loyal Denver Bronco fan.

About My Church Plant

I serve as an evangelist catalyst through the Mid South Baptist Association. My specific field of service is at River Trace Apartments, where I live and serve through my ministry called, Love is Kind Outreach: Memphis. God has placed me here to engage refugee residents with the gospel. I desire, along with a team of other kingdom-minded believers, to plant a multiplying church that will make disciples of all nations. "How can they hear and believe unless someone is sent to tell them?" (Romans 10:14). We serve as a missional community, and we are now meeting as a church. We spend our time serving through ministries that include tutoring, ESL, special events, holiday emphasis and eating meals together, while forming friendships for bridges to the gospel. I'm also involved in prison ministry where I teach and disciple a group of ladies.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Please pray the refugee residents will ask the question, "What if I'm wrong about Jesus?" Pray they will be open to the truth of the gospel and will give their lives to Christ and become harvesters. Pray for more churches to be started among the nations living at River Trace. Pray for opportunities to engage more residents with the gospel (those we haven't met yet). Pray for safety of all residents. Pray for our church as we are learning stories to share with our friends at River Trace. Pray for more volunteers and churches to partner with us by serving in the ministries we offer. Pray for more support for me and two others who serve full time and require full support.

Participate

Connect as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church with a missionary’s work. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
