About My Family
I have been married to La’ai for 30 years. We have three children, Numera, Siona and Lani. I met La’ai in the early ‘90s when we were both enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. We were married in her family’s church, the First Samoan Assemblies of God church, in North Sacramento in 1994.
We served churches in South Carolina while raising our kids for more than 20 years. As our children have grown, we have felt the Lord calling us to reach and serve Polynesian families in the continental U.S. We feel God has uniquely shaped our family for this mission and area of service.
We moved to West Valley City, Utah, in January of 2024 and enrolled our youngest, Lani, at Hunter High School. Siona is a freshman at Clemson University, and our son, Numera, is a personal trainer, currently in the process of transitioning to join us in West Valley.

About My Ministry
Our ministry includes serving with Valley Light Church in West Valley City, Utah. Valley Light just started meeting in October 2023, and we face many challenges as a new church, but God is blessing. We have seen many place their faith in Christ and join our church.
I served as senior pastor in traditional churches in South Carolina from November 2007 until we moved here in January 2024. The two churches where I served as pastor—Concord in Lugoff, South Carolina, and Temple in Columbia, South Carolina—are both supporters of our call to missions. We believe God has uniquely created our family for the purpose of reaching Polynesians with the gospel here in the Salt Lake City area and throughout the continental U.S. We are working to start small groups and believe churches will eventually be multicultural with Polynesian leadership.
